Let's get it started. I just don't think Carolina will get blown out. As much as I love Duke, they're extremely overated and I think Carolina can attack them in the paint. It'll be close for 30 minutes, I think.

I agree. Overrated and due to the face Duke hasn't played well on the road at all this year, I think it stays close, but Duke wins in the end.

Records can definitely be thrown out in this game, one of the few rivalries where that cliche is true. I expect Carolina to come out of the gate pretty strong, but I think the Smith and Scheyer play are the difference and Duke wins by 5-10 points. We will see, I'm heading to the game in about an hour, luckily I was able to score some tix this afternoon.

Congratulations. I would love to attend any Duke game. I can't imagine being at a game of that magnitude at Chapel Hill.

not so much. The better team typically wins and if the matchup is close, home court typically decides the winner. The ESPN hype machine doesn't change the reality of the actual basketball game.

Beats me why Ol' Roy isn't getting creamed by the pundits, even though I understand why his team is struggling.

Thanks man. I'm definitely lucky to be able to go tonight, I've been 3 other times to Chapel Hill to watch Duke/Carolina, but it really doesn't compare, seeing Duke/Carolina in Cameron should be on any sports fans bucket list whether you love or hate Duke. IMO there is no parallel is basketball.

I'll be watching this game, but it just wont have the same interest to me as it has in years past.

Being a lifelong Carolina fan, I fully appreciate the rivalry and that rankings and records don't matter. I remember the double OT game in the Gaudet season (do Duke fans recognize that season, I can't remember. :) But, considering Carolina's struggles this season, I'm supposed to believe that Duke is the 8th best team in the country when they're winning this game 28-27 at the half?

Duke is always overrated, IMO.

God, what an ugly game. It only further highlights what's wrong with Carolina this year and what has been wrong with Duke for the last several years. Duke has two decent players (Scheyer and Singler) and Smith is so-so. Otherwise, they're a bunch of overrated stiffs. Nothing new there, yet this year's edition of the Tar Heels can't put them away early.

Given the alternative, I guess I'll settle for the Raycom broadcast with audio difficulties, as opposed to having to listen to Dick Vitale heap undue praise on Duke and Coach K.

We've had disappointing loses here this season. But imagine being a UNC fan, watching your team go from a pre-season top five ranking to losing several games in a row at home.

But I'm not shedding any tears for them.

Just got back from the game and glad to get back from Chapel Hill w/ a win. It was ugly and a poorly officiated game on both ends, but a win in Chapel Hill is always huge.
