As for Duke's program, I have nothing against them. They have one of the best coaches the game has seen and are usually one of the top teams in the country every year. The reason I am enjoying seeing Duke fall apart is because the media, mainly ESPN, insists on shoving Duke down our throats all of the time. Also, it is human nature to enjoy seeing a team that is a very good team every year have a year when they are down.sorry..lol...i love Tn they are my number one team, but i used to live in durham so i am a dukie as well. SO many people dont like duke just b/c they have been successful and i am sensitive on the subject i suppose
...well i think I can cheer for Duke just for the sole reason I used to live around there forever...but i defiently see ur point and agree. I pull for both and hope to God they never play each other....and as far as ESPN i see that too...they are kinda doing that for UNC this yr though..well more in the preseason than they are now..but still doing it...and ESPN flat out hates the SEC( minus florida) or so i thinkIf it makes you feel any better, I wish UNC and Duke would both struggle.
My dislike of'em stems from people around here cheering for Duke or UNC in basketball season then cheering for UT in football season.
I don't like Duke because when you play Duke especially at Cameron you have to beat 8...Did anyone see the game, I forget who it was against where they gave Duke 4.4 seconds when clearly by the videotape the refs watched it should have been about 2 and of course Duke used the full 4 seconds and made the game winning basket? The team they beat was DUKED!
