Dunbar is being touted as a 3-point specialist, but there are a plethora of 3-point shooters on the team. Middleton, Massengale, Reynolds, and Carter can all easily and consistently make that shot. I'm fairly confident Tucker can, as well. If these players maintain their consistency in game situations, and if several of them are on the floor at the same time, they will be very difficult to defend.

Of all the three point shooters I think Middleton may shoot the highest percentage. I expect her to be around the 40 percent mark. Last season Ariel hit 38 and Carter 39 neither took 100 attempts. Reynolds 24 percent is the worst three point shooter statistically. We hit 36 percent as a team hopefully that goes up to 38 percent or higher. With all these shooters we need to use the 3 point shot more only 444 last season while opponents attempted 602. I would like to see us get to about 17 attempts per game making about 7 a game.

Hopefully the biggest improvement will be turnovers we need to get that down to 12 a game average from about 17 last season.

The thing about Dunbar is her height. She is going to be tough to defend against the three. Middleton with her shorter height will need a more open shot. But I think both along with Tucker, Massengale, and Carter will be very effective. Reynolds is more of a slash and dish.

Even though she's 6-2, I hope she can get better elevation than Spani did.

Spani's leg injury definitely effected her game. Without from a place of great knowledge I wondered why she wasn't frequently posted against her defender to take advantage of her line-backer approach to the game. (that was how she was described when recruited.

And that description was far too generous since she never played like a linebacker.

And it was turf toe that affected her game; however, her elevation was always suspect.

I think you can definitely compare Dunbar to Spani. Dunbar seems a lot quicker and has just as good a three point shot. I remember Spani was highly rated even got an offer from UConn. Dunbar was on their radar never got an offer. I think we are going to be very happy she is a Tennessee Lady Vol.

COMPLETLEY agree. I relate her most to Sid Spencer. You have a play maker point guard in Bobbit. Parker your forward inside, and a 3point specialist at the three. When we went up against uconn with that, they couldn't guard us. especially when your wing player can shoot over the top of the zone.
I think Holly understands how succesful we were that and while we can't replicate Parker, you can find a Bobbit and you can find a Spencer, and other key players.

Diamond can be Parker caliber

Bash/Russel bang like Annisike (prob misspelled, sorry)
Middleton, Tucker, Dunbar, Nared on the outside.

This years team should be a 'gelling' year and should be a final four team.
The key will be defense.
