He played for a couple minutes last night, and I think we may have seen why he has fallen out of favor with CCM.
His first defensive possession, he did not hedge back after providing help defense at the top of the key and it led to a MSU alley-oop.
Maymon and Hall got back to their man all night long while providing help on that same pick-and-roll in the backcourt. Miller had one possession, didn't get back in time, and it led to a wide open dunk.
Perhaps his lack of understanding, hustle, etc. on the defensive end is keeping him off the court despite his offensive abilities.
He was subsequently benched two possessions later.
