Can he be hired anywhere as a D-1 coach? Certainly the SEC is out, how long will it take him to find a job?

Will not be a head coach again. Retire early with all the money from the buyout. Play golf the rest of his life

I don`t really care....all I care about is who will be the next coach at UT.

If Dooley wants to stay in football, then he needs to look at working as an AD for a small program and working his way up to a bigger program.

I just don't think he has what it takes to be a HC.

No chance. Not in D-1 at least. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets back into law. That may be more up his alley than the coaching thing. On the other hand, he'll have made enough money at UT to do whatever the hell he wants, even if it's spend the rest of his life on the golf course or with his family.

Post like this and others are reason I lost my interest in College Football all together, Alabama fans pissed over the Texas A&M, South Carolina, Florida, LSU, heck they all should win National Championships in the same year, instead of BCS, have a NC game for all the idiot colleges who believe their teams should win a NC every year, because the fans say so. CDD is a good coach, but the fans, KNS, the school the players and the leadership of UT have made a sport more important than honor, integrity and the whole state of Tennessee have made a false idol of college sports.............I am done with the whol lot of you..........time to find different interest vs. being in the same pool of a bunch of rednecks who do not have anything else to do with your lives except to destroy other's........see ya.........LOSERS!!

First off, I dare you to provide one shred of evidence to back up the bolded statement.

Secondly, if you have no interest in college sports, what the hell are you doing on a college football team's fan board, and why do you feel the need to renounce the sport for all of us to see? Get off your high horse. Dooley was a trainwreck. If all of your posts were of this quality, I struggle to understand how you generated 90+ likes.

I knew there would still be some of you guys out there. Don't worry, they can fire Dooley, but no one is going to make you take down his poster from over your bed.

The best head coaching position he could hope for at this point would be something like Austin Peay. Hmm... that would put him coaching in Neyland to open the 2013 season.

I think he would work well at UK.

Low expectations and he is a "good ole boy" or maybe he takes the Vandy job after Franklin leaves for a better program. :)

If you can't win at UT good luck winning anywhere

This is a candidate for one of the top ten dumbest posts in the history of volnation. There are plenty of examples of coaches that can't win a major conference, but have success in non-AQ conferences.
