our next recruit is going to be. It is aabout time we got another one. Texas is way ahead of the curve and so is Florida. We need some guys to commit (though it does not mean anything until signing day) to get the ball rolling.

Texas is always ahead of the curve because of the tactics that they use.

This isn't worth getting worked up over. They'll come.

Agreed...it is only 10+ months until signing day :)

Texas can afford to give their recruits and ultimatum to commit or lose their offer permanently because they have about 50 blue chip prospects instate just salivating to be a Longhorn. OTOH, we don't have that pleasure and, if we did, I'm sure we wouldn't have half the staff that we do because that would bore them. Don't rush the situation. UGA just landed their first and who's to say that we don't have a couple commits that just aren't public?

It doesn't matter if they are committed or not Lane has shown the ability to steal a recruit from ANYBODY. BTW I would rather them not commit early because I hate it when someone is committed to a school for almost a year and then switches near signing day. examples: JeRon Stokes, Aubrey Phillips.

Kiffin is likely taking the high road and telling kids "listen, I'm confident that Tennessee will be the best football school in the country, and the place for you to grow as a player, so go out and take all your visits. If you want to be the best possible player at the next level, this is where you'll end up."

Most of these recruits are going to appreciate that kind of freedom and I think it will pay off in the long run.
