IMO, signing day has lost a lot of its luster. Probably 30 to 40% or more will not finish with the team they sign with, The portal, the instant transfer, the transferring inside conference etc. has dampened the enthusiasm. The best thing is sign who you can and coach's and fans respect and keep relationships good, the ones that sign elsewhere as they may portal to the Vols in the future. Players get best of both worlds on the table money and fans cant cuss them for not signing with them because they basically get recruited under the table yearly.
