Sucks to be you. These jerseys are awesome.
Nah, it doesn't suck to be me. I served over 30 years in the military and I just could never bring myself to buy some game-worn outfit. My uniforms were of a different sort. If this is your "thing", well that's fine. But why should it "suck" to be me????

I just don't get the "love" for these jerseys.

Having authentic game worn jerseys are much more valuable than heading to Dick's and getting generics off the racks with no names that can represent dozens of players over time.

Maybe, BUT how do you KNOW they're authentic? Are you thinking of selling them for a profit?

I’ve gotten different gear over the years and there’s so many different shades of Orange. I did finally get a game used jersey just to have as the standard. I didn’t realize how long they are. My wife could wear it as a dress. I wonder if anyone has compared the shades of jerseys over the years just to see how much of a difference there has been.

I will agree that there seems to be different shades of orange as the years have gone by. My favorite orange was in the 1980s.

I don't collect anything. But I understand that some people are collectors and they seem to get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I've always found these jerseys to be interesting and, as a Vol fan, a cool reminder of good times.

We played against Fields in high school. He was an upper classman and I was a sophomore and I don't recall a head-to-head confrontation thank God but he was a beast. I met him again a couple of years later when I was in college and we got into the locker room after a game. He was very humble and a super nice guy. I won't ever forget that tackle on the screen play in the Notre Dame game where he jumped on the back of the RB (Jerome Bettis?).

Mainly because instead of just rolling along you hopped in to be judgey. So I felt the petty need to do the same. No biggie.

Also, be careful to not dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back.

Yep we played Earnest too. His Sr year at our joint he had like 35,000 yards rushing. Simply untackleable at the high school level.

Don't forget to thank him for his service, it was Veteran’s Day yesterday after all

How odd that just 2 days ago Earnest came to mind, and I was wondering what ever happened to him---why he never made it in the NFL. So I googled him and read about scouts and teams wanting him to be 3 inches taller. I hope he's doing well today.
