Dale has been dead for over 8 years now. At some point the company should be allowed to make decisions without considering what Dale wudda dun.

Dale built the company from the ground up. Teresa has destroyed it.

well, i guess that settles it.

if it can happen to Richard Petty, it can happen to anybody.

Obviously, we'll never now how it would've played out had Dale still been alive... but one thing is for sure... Teresa let that company go to hell, and Junior witnessed it first-hand.

i think it's funny how people think that because it was his name on it, he built the whole thing by himself. people forget his wife was as equally committed to building the team, and, as such, had no obligation to give her step son anything. in fact, he said on a few occasions that his team would have been nothing without his wife.

interesting that never gets mentioned.

Of course. Who doesn't thank their wife for all their support while accepting awards, giving speeches, interviews, etc? That's pretty common, and doesn't hold much weight in your argument.

The fact of the matter is, DEI would still be alive and well today if Dale was still alive. No question about it... and Junior would still be a part of that team.

Yeah, I know what your response is going to be. "Get over it!" "Move on!"... and that's fine.

Teresa destroyed DEI. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

how do you know what her role is/was? are you part of the organization?

please show me the facts you used to come to this conclusion. that's all i'm asking here.

if Richard Petty, who is still THE name in NASCAR, can go down, so too can anybody.

i doubt she set out to ruin everything she helped build. again, why should she be forced to give her team to her third rate step son?

also, what kind of genius does it take to spell genius right?

I'm not saying Dale Jr. would be winning championships at DEI, because he's obviously not going to do that anywhere. But you can't deny that he would have kept DEI financially stable and completely relevant in the world of NASCAR. When Junior left (or was forced out... depending on how you look at it), the sponsors and endorsement dollars left with him.

Touché on the spelling of genius. It was a long night of writing a 12 page memo.

Junior is quickly becoming irrelevant himself. no way his mediocre driving ability keeps DEI afloat.

His driving ability has nothing to do with the amount of money he brings in with sponsors and endorsements.

just wait. it will. people are starting to realize it's the driver now, and not the crew chief, equipment, team...

nobody likes to associate their product with losers. it's going to happen. again, just ask Richard Petty.
