Any of my east Tennessee residents know of some secluded car camping spots? I'm not looking for a KOA camping site type place. I'd love to find a trail I can drive through and set up camp in the middle of nowhere.

I'm use to backpacking trips but my wife doesn't feel like hiking several miles into the wilderness. Trying to find a common ground for both of us here.

Thanks!

There are many State Parks in east TN with camp grounds, Fall Creek Falls is one of my favorite. Also look on recreation.gov for the national parks, TVA and ACE campgrounds.

I've been to Fall Creek Falls,we camped out in tents and went fishing there and didn't catch anything while we were there :) it is suppose to have killer blue gill when they are biting though

the falls are well worth the trip, there awesome, stay up late at night and turn off the lights, then see what kind of critters come visiting lol

I've camped at the State Line campground in the Cherokee National Forest a couple of times. It's about as remote as you get and still get there with a car. It's been several years, but I think they have water and pit toilets, but that's about it.
