I actually believed that the Gruden walk away was a smoke screen. I honestly thought it was a done deal and that the timing was waiting on the end of MNF. I was WRONG!

I didn't believe that consecutive ADs would take actions without a plan in place. I was WRONG. There must be something in the development of ADs that leads them to react in non-managerial ways. That needs to be repaired.

I am probably close to neutral on Butch Jones. I want to see what happens in the next few weeks on the recruiting trail. That could move the meter a bit in either direction. I'm certainly not expecting failure but I'm not convinced of success.

I will be in Neyland Stadium next fall in my usual seats. I probably won't take a road trip in 2013 unless it is very late in the season and things are exploding in a good way.

I do plan to attend a bowl game with UT playing after the season! Regardless of the coach, I think the athletes are capable of a decent season. If Jones is what some folks say he is, it could be a very good season.

GO BIG ORANGE!

My crow dinner has been digested. I have watched the press conference. I did some bUTch Jones research. I have moved my meter into the green zone (orange zone if you prefer). I am well on the plus side of neutral.
