eBay tickets..

I'm looking for some Gator tix on eBay, and am wondering if any of you have ever purchased any tickets off of eBay. Im wonder as to how it all would work out, and if there would be any trouble. Anyone with any kind of history I would appreciate if you post some of the stories you have had in the past. Thanks in advance.

Never done it. I know a couple of folks that have, but I just don't care to. I'll buy some things from ebay, but tickets are not one of them. Too easy to sell fakes, imo. Just a personal preference, though.

Yeah, thats one of the things Im wondering. See if anyone has any kind of history either good or bad.

I've purchased tickets from ebay on a number of occasions, actually last years UT/UF game I got to see b/c of ebay. I don't know about fakes, but I wouldn't think that they would be able to get away with it. Ebay seems to be really strict on that type of thing, if they were dumb enough to sell fakes, you be able to report them, prove your case, and at least get your $$ back. You'd probably miss the game, but again would get paid back.

Usually some online ticket brokers will post sometimes on ebay.Thats how I got my Sugar Bowl tickets,albeit a little pricey that way!

I have before. I havent had any trouble. I would just be sure to buy from someone with a good history. Make sure they have done alot of business!!!! B)

From the prices I've seen, you're gonna get raped by buying on Ebay. For UT games, you are much smarter just picking them up from scalpers on game day. This was humorous:

Tennessee Volunteers vs Georgia 10/08/05 Tickets 4 $1,099.00. Thanks, but I'll save my money and just go to the Super Bowl.

I bought tickets on ebay for the UA game two years ago (date didn't want to travel from Dallas to Bama without tickets in hand). No problems. :good:

I bought UF and UA tickets last year. They were expensive, but great seats and no problems.

Thanks everyone. I sure do hope that some people start auctioning their UT/UF tix. I would LOVE to go the game. Im pretty sure that Im not going to G-ville without tix in hand, so unless my dad can pull some strings ( his frat brother is chris dimarco's brother, *big eyes LOL, so a couple other guys in the frat hang out in dimarco's private room, freeing up their season tickets for yours truely ) or I can find something on eBay, or else Ill be stuck with verne lundquist
