Got home at 430 am. Almost 24 hours being awake. And that's a whole different story at the age of 43 than at 23.
After waiting on the tarmac in the corner of the airport for 3 hours, it was determined that the person's temperature was normal. But here's the hysterical part, the medical personnel didn't come on the plane to ascertain that little nugget. There was a young MD on the flight. Maybe she relayed the vitals??? Idk. They took him off and placed him in an ambulance even though he no longer had any signs and symptoms of illness. We taxied back to terminal and deplaned.
I sent pics and updates to a local news station while trapped on board. There was a news crew filming interviews with passengers at baggage claim area.
It was a cluster. In flight, Captain said parameds would meet us at gate. At gate, cdc took jurisdiction and told us to go to corner of airport. At corner, we waited for the team in their hazmat suits to board and check the dude out. After they decided to not board, THEN the ambulance was called.
I'll tell you this, if your on a flight to Nashville with an infectious passenger you will be trapped on that plane with recirculating air for extra hours while the experts create a cluster of bumbling delays and you have more exposure to the infection.
