Ed Orgeron 4-1 since L/K was fired

I hope they keep him. They'll set their program back even further.

Orgeron = Great recruiter, lousy head coach.

I have a theory, just a theory. I think that USC was looking for the right time to fire Kiffin because they planned to fire him at some point anyway. I think the plan all along this year was to ax Kiffin and they did it when they did knowing he could very well win a few games down the stretch and make it tougher. I almost think that he has been doomed since the start and they were biding time to hire a better coach when probation was winding down or over.

Thats probably not that far fetched. They made the decision before he could even get a plane ride home after the Arizona State loss. Usually decisions aren't made that quickly. Plus this isn't the AD that hired him. Either their AD did a little pre planning, or he reacts to losses the same way 90% of the posters on VolNation do.

I hope he wins out and they end up stuck with him.

He won't get the coaching spot. I personally hate USC, but USC is a school that has a long standing football tradition. They will be going after a big name this time around.

With the success he's had I think he may have a decent shot at sticking around. The guy can definitely recruit

After knocking off #4 Stanford, I'd say his stock just went way up. I thought they'd probably loose today and to UCLA in a few weeks, but now they have a real chance to win out.

If Southern Cal doesn't keep him on permanently, they're idiots.

Off topic, just looked up USC's season on ESPN. Since when does a team have 13 regular season games?

The NCAA allows an extra regular season game for teams that have a game at Hawai'i.
