Makes you wonder if a deal has been struck to make Edwards the VP or some other cabinet position.

Edwards is Barrack Obama with a southern accent, less pigment and better hair.

Politically, maybe, but tort attorneys are a very low life form. Obama and his wife are repulsive to me with their thinly veiled racism, but they can't begin to approach a tort guy.

It's nice to know that John Edwards is still talking about walls and different Americas and how he is the voice of the common man...

then he goes home to an 18,000 square foot mansion.

So rich people are not allowed to help the poor? Should he be subject to live in a cardboard box in order to help people? If Donald Trump donates money to the homeless is he a hypocrite for being rich? I don't understand what you're trying to get at here.

So he waited until he was sure of the winner and then threw his support behind that person? Way to take a stand John :good!:

I don't think he likes either one very much and he said he endorsed Obama to help unite the party. If that's true than I understand why he waited.

Simply put it is hard for the average American to take his "voice of the common man" slogan seriously when he has no idea what the common man thinks or has gone through in his life. How does he know what the common thinks when he is an elite man? maybe he should change that slogan to "the voice of the elite man"!

I thought John Edwards was raised in a poor family working in mills? If that's true than he might have an idea of what the common man is going through.

MG,

You do know that Edwards is to poverty what Gore is to global warming, right? :eek:lol:

If that is the case then I stand corrected. Thank you for the info.

his father worked in a textile mill and was eventually promoted to supervisor, his mother had a roadside antique finishing business and eventually became a postal worker.

his family wasn't "poor" by any stretch.

yeah, they're both frauds.

and what's this garbage about needing to be elected before he can help the poor?

To be intellectual honest there are not very many "poor" people in America. Of those that are, many are poor by choice. At one time I lived out of my car for a few months. Did not take me long to get over that and better myself. Where there is a will there is a way. I did not wait for some government agency to help me, I did it on my own and now I live a pretty good life.

My thoughts exactly, altough I respect waiting to announce your decision more than making one early on and then changing it when your candidate is going to lose.
