Carl and Jimmie had an exciting finish at Kansas. I think that if Edwards could have split the difference on the speed he carried into the corner maybe he wouldnt have hit the wall so hard and would have had a chance to win the race. Does anyone else agree or do You think that the Wall would have slowed him down too much regardless and Jimmie holding his line would have won the race?

I heard him quoted on one of the shows, Sports Center I think, that he should have gone in a little slower, and he probably would have won. Maybe, but I think Johnson lifted when Edwards cut across his line which he may not have done if Edwards were going slower and held his car low. Could'ves and would'ves don't pay a dime.

It was Edwards' home track and I know he desperately wanted to win.

I'd say that Johnson lifted a bit once he knew that Edwards drastically overshot the corner. Either way, I applaud him for making the move.

Agreed! Here is another exciting finish move made by Burton on the last lap in the Busch (Nationwide) Series 2 years ago. The best part is that it was on Kyle Busch.:) I am a bit surprised that Kyle shook his hand afterwards. I don't think he would do that if this took place today.
