Well, let's see if this thread hits almost 2,000 posts like the one about the trespasser in Georgia has done so far.
I'm not reading race into anything other than the news media coverage of each, and the number of VN posters who gaf about each.The difference between the two situations is not race. The difference is that this situation was handled immediately and with all possible force, while the Arbery situation didn't even produce an arrest for 2 months.
If you want to read race into it, then you're going to have to work thru how justice has been metted out give the racial make up of each situation.
It's sad these people were murdered, but their killer met his fate. It's not like he escaped justice because he used to work for the local DA. Not sure why that would be hard to understand. Also not sure why anyone feels the need to bring race into this. In both cases, needless death evokes sadness. In the GA case, it's the lack of justice that makes it outrageous.
