Thought it might be handy to have one thread where we can all yell at each other accordingly. Some early national exit polling information from Edison Research just released:

"Most important issue":

-Inflation 32%
-Abortion 27%
-Crime 12%
-Gun policy 12%
-Immigration 10%

"Condition of Nation's Economy"
-Not so good 36%
-Poor 39%

"Biden Approval"
-Approve 45%
-Disapprove 55%

"Was your vote..."
-To support Biden 18%
-To oppose Biden 32%
-Biden not a factor 48%

"Party ID"
-R 35%
-D 34%
-Ind. 31%

That party identification one really surprises me. That is a substantial number of independents. +70% negatives on the condition of the economy? That's a very bad sign for Democrats.

How it is not worse for the Democrats is astonishing. Partisan politics still the ruler of the day, no matter how bad you suck, you can still count on a huge portion of “in anyways”

You are going to have to get a lot of states to change their counting rules. Many won't start counting early/absentee votes until polls close tonight, which is rather silly.

Correct. Those rules are ridiculous, and they should be changed.

I had the thought both ways. Seems like there are probably a lot of people who claim independent, but almost entirely vote for one of the 2 main parties.

Worth noting those are national numbers. I'm sure in some states crime will list higher than abortion.
