Yep, enjoyed the debut. Also loved that they played Watching the Detectives at the end.

Pilot was great. I've yet to see anything (series, movies) about Sherlock Holmes that I don't like.

Missed it because gf wanted to watch Scandal. How is it compared to Sherlock?

Felt like every other CBS show. Just watch the BBC's Sherlock if you want to see a better version.

is there anything the BBC does that isn't better than the American version?

I'm surprised someone in Hollywood hasn't tried to do an Americanized version of Dr. Who.

A friend recommended Sherlock a couple of months ago. I was skeptical at first, but absolutely hooked by the end of the pilot episode.

I think it will get old pretty fast. His autistic quirks will get irritating.

While I will continue to watch for now, they were already irritating in the first episode.

Similar only by source material. It's more like the Mentalist than Sherlock.

Not a bad way to start - The Mentalist is a very popular show (though, I don't particularly like it) if they want to continue going that route, but depending on viewer reaction, there is still time to shift more towards Sherlock.

It wouldn't surprise me to see that in the near future.

There are some really terrible shows on the BBC we just never see them. Why would bad shows make it across the pond? They also would never make an American Doctor Who. It's one of those things that has been talked about for years and the BBC have always shot it down. Besides, what's the point of it now? You can watch the new episodes the same day they air in the UK.

Hollywood doesn't have very many original ideas

Looks like their are a few people out there liking this. It has become television's new #1 Show.

Elementary is a decent show I watch it regularly but I did catch a couple episodes of the BBC version, I think it was maybe even before Elementary first aired. The guy that plays Sherlock in the BBC version is more spastic, faster talking, and more energetic. Johny Lee Miller as Sherlock is in Elementary is more calmed down.

LOL! I love when networks use this line.
So is NCIS, The Walking Dead, The Good Wife, etc.

The BBC version blows the NBC version out of the water...but the NBC version is still really good and a very interesting take (Watson being a woman).

That and remind me again. In the BBC version isn't Sherlock a gun toting detective where Sherlock in Elementary is just a consultant with no gun?

First off Elementary is on CBS not NBC as someone stated above!

I really enjoyed the twist with Irene Adler & M! I wasn't expecting that.

I'm looking forward to season two!

I didn't expect it either and I think the character is horrible. She got him to love her, faked her own death, and then ends up being Moriarty. That's crazy and vile.

A great season two premier! I just hope we don't see anymore of his brother. I couldn't stand the character or the actor.

Just watched it. Pretty solid imo.

I agree, the Mycroft character is annoying, but it's supposed to like that.
