USCe pulls off a beautiful fake FG for a TD and there is a hold called. Replay shows some poor blocking technique but not a hold. This continues to sicken me. Screw SEC refs.
There was a jersey grab. It probably wasn't necessary to spring the kicker for the score but it was a legitimate call.

Yeah I’m an official critic just as much as the next guy but that hold was as clear as they come. No question on that one.

The ref in the booth explained it well. That call will be made when it's a block on the edge like that.

Except when it's Alabama, which routinely gets by with blatant holds on the edge. I think that's the issue everyone has with it. Was it a hold? Yes. Not blatant, but the right call. The fact that it negated a touchdown against Alabama is the key. The question is whether Alabama would have been called for the same hold if the situation were reversed. The answer isn't just no but hell no.

I can post unlimited pictures of the exact same thing no being called. It was irrelevant to the play and should not have been called.
The booth explaining why they only call it sometimes doesn’t make it right.

Looks like UT will stomp them chickens. 😵 God I don't know if I can handle another loss to the muskrat

Yeah by rule that was a hold, but they usually let that go. You would have 40 flags a game if they call that a foul every time.

Weak as heck call. He had his hand down the Jersey but except for a slight tug at the beginning, he was pushing on the guys chest the whole time. Yes, bama does way worse on most every play.

Pretty much like the touch foul called on Turner against Purdue. Technically a foul but had no impact on the play .

That was some Tennessee style tackling right there. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Alabama has too many playmakers and South Carolina is soft on defense. Blowout.
