Eli likes to talk, absolutely no doubt about that. I guess that's a good trait to have in broadcasting. Hard for me to judge him really, since I hate Bama so much I'd have a hard time saying anything good.

I would much rather have Eli calling our games. I used to be a fan of his many years ago, before I knew he called alabubba games. He calls a good race, and he is quite good calling hockey games.

I'd rather listen to an announcer that paints a picture of the game than one that trips over their words to say checkerboard

I, for one, love all the old-guard radio guys. As much as I am NOT a Georgia fan, nobody could call a game like Larry Munson. I've spent many Saturdays listening to Georgia games from my home in Braselton just to hear Larry call it.
