Hello to all, I'm a first time poster but I have visited this board for a number of years. I think we are very fortunate to have such a great resource of information to share.

First of all I would like to say that I know that many of you are very passionate about the subject matter and that I respect everyone's opinion.

CDD and staff did an outstanding job considering the challenges they were faced with.

With that said I feel very strongly that we must focus all of our attention on our need areas, i.e. DL and OL. I was wondering if anyone will post a list of potential JUCO lineman for 2011.

If anyone needs an opinion on a lineman recruit, I'd be happy to provide it. Just provide a link to a video (a free one; I refuse to pay for recruiting info) and the number of the kid I'm looking at.

quickest way to evaluate a recruit is to find out if tennessee is in the running...if so, they can play :)

Mind telling us about the Thurman kid whose mom is an alum? No link to vids but he's listed in the link above.

I pulled up this video on Youtube and watched the offensive section.

YouTube - Trip Thurman - 2009 Highlight video

In run blocking, he comes off low, locks on, and keeps his feet moving. Those are all positives. The biggest negative is the hand placement, which is of the "grab and twist" variety. It'll require a bit of work to get out of that, since it feels more natural than getting the hands inside and extending.

There isn't much featured in the way of pass blocking or of movement in space, so this will have to suffice for now.
