I'm going out on a limb and guessing no ones getting Warren Buffetts billion dollar perfect bracket this year.

Syracuse's 13 losses are tied for the most by a Final Four team in NCAA Tournament history (also 2000 Wisconsin and UNC).

I never would have picked Syracuse, but their strength was exactly what would give Virginia trouble.

Getting to the FF vindicates a team quite a bit for not deserving to get in.

Does it really? I look at an entire season, not a run at the end to determine what kind of team they are. They got hot at the right team (ala' UK/UConn 2014). That's not to say they don't deserve credit. It's the tourney. Once it starts seeds are thrown out the window. Virginia has one of the better seasons in the country and they (Cuse), went out there and did business.

I disagree. I heard Jay Bilas once say that it doesn't matter what a team does after being selected in order to justify its inclusion in the field. The Committee doesn't have the benefit of being fortune tellers. You have to consider what kind of regular season a team had. I agree. That said, I wasn't as surprised about Syracuse as I was with Tulsa and Vandy. The only thing that I hated hearing about Syracuse is some people wanted to excuse them for losing when Boeheim was out. Boeheim did it to himself, and you can't excuse cheating. If he was sick or something personal, then I would agree.

A lot of people probably do see it that way but let's look at their road to the Elite 8... #7 seed Dayton, #15 seed Middle Tenn and #11 seed Gonzaga (who needed to win their conference tourney to get in). Their 2nd half vs Virginia was awesome but they were placed in the weakest of the 4 regions and caught a windfall when Michigan St went down.
