Agree that LSU def staff was caught asleep, especially considering Wegmann is inconsistent at best. But Elko had no clue that they had no answer. Majority of coaches would have died on that hill.Didn't Reed start like 3 games for A&M while Weigman was injured?
Coaching malpractice by LSU for not at least anticipating that a QB change could take place under that situation
And he would have died on that hill. LSU was well in control of that game.Agree that LSU def staff was caught asleep, especially considering Wegmann is inconsistent at best. But Elko had no clue that they had no answer. Majority of coaches would have died on that hill.
Most coaches can’t change QBs and get a totally different offense. Just like Saban did to Fulmer in 2001, he went to a running QB when the defense was set to stop passing.
The biggest thing for A&M was having Butch I mean Brian Kelly on the other sideline. I never understood the Kelly hype. He does less with more.Changing to Reed. Reed is completely different QB & A&M couldn’t pass block LSU. Most teams don’t have QBs so different but it clearly took LSU by surprise.
