Tennessee pitcher Ellen Renfroe was named SEC pitcher of the week and Annie Aldrete was picked as the SEC freshman of the week in softball.
No. 2 Tennessee (31-3, 8-1 SEC) swept No. 4 Florida for the first time since 2004.
This is the third time this season Renfroe has earned the award. She went 3-0 with a pair of complete games and two shutout relief innings that earned her a win in the second game of the series. She posted a 0.88 ERA and 20 strikeouts over 16 innings.
Aldrete, who won the award for second time, was the driving force in UTs 9-2 win over Florida in the series opener, going 3-for-4 with career bests of three hits, two home runs, six RBIs and two runs.
