Elway or Manning……3 minutes……

Elway easy in a game that mattered. Peyton collected a ton of stats but was not good in big moments check difference in playoff vs regular season QB rating. Yikes.
Check Manning v. Brady in playoffs. Manning 3, Brady 2. And, Brady had the man who is considered by many to be the greatest HC of all time. So, yeah, he was good, very good, (although not always good) in the biggest moments.

Manning..... One reason is he had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne with him nearly his entire carreer at Indy.

Gimme Peyton. Elway won when he got a run game.

If Peyton had Vinatieri the whole time he would have had a much better record.

Peytons records can never be broken now, because the NFL got greedier and added a 17th game. Peytons 55TDs and 5,477 yards will never be broken without an *asterisk saying how whomever had at least 1 more game to accrue yards and TDs. He also held the records for both career yards (70,000+) and career TDs WHEN he retired. Brady and Brees later broke them...once he was gone.

Elway was my favorite QB as a kid...even though Montana was widely considered better than him even in Elways own time. Montana was Brady before Brady was...could always hang his hat on rings even though other aspects of his game could raise questions about his ability...like having Rice and Taylor vs Elways receivers. Hell....even Marino had way better WR than Elway..Duper and Clayton were great. Elway was a gunslinger and the master of the 2min comeback. Would be hard to pick Peyton over him for a 2min comeback....even though Peyton is my favorite athlete ever.

Hmmm....I'm still gonna take Peyton. Ride or die style. I would rather count on a VOL to come thru in the clutch rather than anyone else. Even if it meant I was wrong. GO VOLS

We playing with the circa 2005 way the rules are enforced or we going with the 1985 version?

In Elways heyday, the receivers could basically get mugged and the QB decapitated so I would go with Elway

If the 2005 version, I'll go with PM.

Actually what I would really like to see is Dan Marino playing with the 2023 pass defense rules. Dude would make Mahomes look like JG.

Jim Hart with Conrad Dobler blocking for him. Go Cardiac Cards.

I guess I would have been shot too. Because I’d take Elway over Manning. More clutch, could run.
How was Elway more clutch? The knock on Elway was that he couldn’t win a Super Bowl, until they won it the last 2 years of his career with Terrell Davis as the offensive focal point. Elway’s Super Bowl against the 49ers might’ve been the biggest QB flop in SB history. And I loved Elway.
