Mr Hart please do the fans and D Dooley a favor by humanely putting an end to the unmitigated suffering of the Dooley Era. Put the Dooley Era to sleep- it is painful watching this continuing train wreck. If there was hope of things getting better , the prudent course would be wait and watch. Sadly, any thinking person knows that the stench of bad coaching, asinine choices at critical times , poor prepartion, etc will only become more foul if allowed to go on. 5 mill is not a bad reward for doing a poor job- so , I personally dont have any pity for DD. I am sorry that the players, many of whom have talent, have driven their ducks to a bad market. DD brought this upon himself by making very bad decisions. For Ex. Coach Sal and 3-4- this was not the year to make drastic changes on the D. Except for maybe " special teams" and trouble keeping 11 ( not 10 or 12) guys on the field, busted coverages on pass defense have been the common thread in the BIG losses, like today. It is time to euthanize this sorry episode in the gloried history of Vol Football. WE will survive and prosper- dont shed a tear Gator or Bama Fans . THe sooner we lance this boil, the quicker the healing.

If Hart cannot smell the stench that has become Dooley-ball, he needs to see a doctor! I live in Gulfport, MS at the present time, and the stench of the loss was overpowering all the way down here.

We have become the new Ky. Remember the 25 game skein, even if Ky had the better team or was 21 pts ahead at halftime like 1 game in the Casey Claussen era- we Vol fans KNEW , were sure, that the wildkittens would find a new and amazing way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. AND THEY did, everytime . Just like this years Vol team. Ypu know someone is going to have a screw-up of epic proportions ( see the busted coverage by Gordon and Waggner this week) you just dont know who it will be. That makes it exciting and depressing at the same time. Thank God this travesty of a season is almost over. I can be happy again- cause we"ve no place to go but up. Thanks be to heaven. Ps Dooley will cry all the way to the bank. I think he should be jailed for impersonating a head coach, but I will settle for him being gone. Free of this inept ,joke of a HC. I guess that Hamilton had the last laff after all.
