From our friends at Jayski.com:

Rain could be an issue at Kentucky tonight: The Quaker State 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway is scheduled for a 7:45pm/et green flag tonight, June 29, 2013. The National Weather Service predicts a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms at race time, with it dropping to 50% later. If the rain does fall, it likely will take close to two hours to dry the track, which is susceptible to weepers water coming up from underneath the surface through cracks and pores in the asphalt. The new NASCAR drying system is not at the track. Speedway officials opted to use the traditional jet-dryer system.
It is NASCAR policy not to start a race it does not believe it can finish. The average time of the first two Kentucky races is 2 hours, 50 minutes. The race would be official if it reaches halfway 134 laps. If the race is rained out Saturday, it would be run Sunday. No Sprint Cup race has been postponed because of rain since the 2012 Daytona 500.(Sporting News)

I'm playing fast and loose this week. Tired of going conservative and getting my ass beet.
