I think they are both not playing up to thier potential right now and both have alot of emotion built up. TN appears to have the most to lose but i don't know if the urgency for this win will help them or hurt them. Ainge appears to let his emotions affect his playing quite a bit, but if it's true that it can all be attributed to having had to look over his shoulder and being afraid to make mistakes, then I hope he doesn't pick this game to make them. I see a low scoring ground game for both sides considering the weather with TN prevailing only due to the fact that our defense is more proven. Turnovers are my biggest fear and our kicking game.

I think we come out and live up to the potential. Our backs are against the wall and LSU will be pumped - we are gonna have to come out and hush th crowd fast in order to tak control of this one. I feel like we can get it done. There seems to be a sense of relief from the QB's and WR's on the decision and I think that willbe the key to our game. As long as our special teams don't turn special  we should be ok -

I don't like having to face another big strong QB with a strong arm although I am grateful that we have faced two of the best already.

The emotions leading up to this will dissipate after the two lines butt heads a couple of times. Then it comes down to execution. The Vols get the job done here because, recent criticisms aside, that is what they are coached to do. Coach Fulmer tells the team what this game is... a business trip. Fly in... Close the deal... Fly home...Get ready for Ole Miss!

We have lots of talent at WR
Our OL is a great group
Ainge is a great young man that can win big games
We have maybe the best RB in the SEC

We will win this game

First of all, I'm not advocating a QB change. That hasn't worked and there is more to be gained by sticking with one.

That said, I would prefer RC in a slop, rain game over EA. EA has shown a tendency to throw without being set, to throw into coverage and to hold onto the ball too long trying to make the big play on every play. In a slop game, this could haunt us. Add to that the pressure to make something happen on offense and I'm concerned that EA will be pressing too hard.

Flame away :p

Ut is great on D, O-Line, Good at Rb, fair at QB, Shaky at db and special teams will get better than the last game. The determining factor... Randy Sanders. A hurdle not to be overcome... LSU 21 UT 9.

Nobody's bringing up the fact, that LSU is on a mission after hurricane katrina, with all that emotion they are playing with, playing for the victims of hurricane katrina, relatives who have been misplaced, etc. I think that makes this team extremely difficult to beat.

I think we lose, LSU 14
UT 13

Echo. Plus:

Our defense is extremely tough up front.
The LSU secondary was shredded by ASU.
Another special teams performance like last week's in the next 4 years and I'd be surprised.
Tennessee traditionally plays well after a loss.

I understand why people are saying that LSU will be emotional and "playing for the state" but I am not sure if that will be enough to win a game. Many analyst said that the Saints were playing for NO and it got them nowhere against Eli and the Giants. And Yes, I understand that most of the Saints are not from La. unlike the LSU players but considering all that has happned leading up to this game, I believe the emotion of the game will be more focused on argument surrounding who wanted to play and when. Therefore I think we too may have a bit of a emotional edge.

UT will win because the LSU secondary will give Ainge the confidence he is needing in the passing game. Thus creating the balance to put the LSU D on their Heels enough for Riggs and UT to control the clock and game in a low scoring Defensive struggle.
