I just looked it up. Apparently they get second choice at a Big Ten or ACC team, they just always choose ACC. TIFWIW, I didn't do anything but Google it.

I don't think it will happen, but I think it would pretty compelling for the Music City Bowl. Probably would be the best lower tier bowl match up.

BUT our history with Penn State coupled with our recent history with James Franklin makes me throw up a bit at the thought of it.

Pretty much; a lot of the contracts regarding bowl alignments typically get restructured...in this one's case (in the case of a lot of them with the at the time looming postseason shift), it was in the last year or two.

It was only an SEC/ACC a matchup from 2006 until 2013, though.

Prior to that it was an SEC/Big 10 matchup from 2002-2005, and an SEC/Big East matchup from 1998-2001.
