We are not on it yet, but we do get mentioned for the first time this season. It is possible!

And so we wave farewell to Arkansas -- for now at least. The Razorbacks' ugly computer numbers always made them a long shot, but their utter inability to win on the road has doomed them to official bubble irrelevance at this point in the process. On Wednesday, thanks to an entirely uncompetitive loss (77-58) at Tennessee, Mike Anderson's freshmen-filled team dropped to 0-8 away from Bud Walton Arena. The committee likes you to win on the road, at least every once in a while. Arkansas doesn't. End of story. Meanwhile, speaking of Tennessee ... OK, OK, the Volunteers aren't on the bubble. Frankly, they aren't anywhere close. But at 6-5 in the SEC, with a sweep of Florida and a win over UConn, it is interesting to think about what could happen if the Vols were to win out the rest of the way. Given their schedule (at Alabama, vs. Ole Miss, at South Carolina, at LSU, vs. Vanderbilt) and how well this team is playing lately, it's certainly a possibility. That would put them at 19-12 and 11-5 in the SEC with four top-50 wins and ... all right, now we're just getting Tennessee fans' hopes up. The Watch apologizes. But either way, the fact this possibility, remote as it is, even exists, is a testament to the impressive job Cuonzo Martin has done repairing the Bruce Pearl wreckage in the new coach's first season.

That is a good write-up.. Thanks for sharing! I honestly think it will be tough to win out.. Vandy is going to be a difficult one.. I'm hoping we can have a really good showing in the SEC tourney..

At this point, barring a collapse, you have to think that the NIT is pretty much a lock. As long as our boys are playing the postseason, I'll be happy.

The future is bright for next season!

Someone said Greg Anthony is lobbying for us hard in a Mock NCAA Tourney selection they have been doing based on current resumes.

He said Stokes factor is huge.

We win 4 out of last 5 I gotta think we are in.

The columnist said he is getting our hopes up. Here at VN our hopes have been up way before we waxed the court with Florida for the second time.

That last paragraph makes me think ESPN has a lurker on VN. :). We have been making that same argument for a week on here. :)

NCAA quality teams beat Vandy at home. plain and simple. If we lose at Bama or at LSU, thats fine, but we cannot lose at home to Vandy. Good teams win at home (which lately we are definitely doing)

If we lose one more before the SEC Tourney, it cant be vandy at home IMO. That's a statement we need to make if we want to make that glass slipper fit!

Good teams win on the road...average teams win at home. If you are good enough to win consistently on the road then the home games Ws wont be too hard to come by. I do however believe we are becoming a good team even though our road record doesnt show.

Edited now just for you. What percentage of your posts, would you say, are just corny attempts at humor at the expense of someone's bad grammar or typing skills? I'm guessing >75%

What I wouldn't give to have the AP and Georgia games back. Should have won both of those games which would have our current RPI closer to 40-50 instead of 100. Still think we get in for sure if we win out and win one game in SEC tourney. Might get in losing one and taking 2 in SEC tourney

While I understand your point, I personally think the AP and Georgia games are part of why they are playing well now. The team had to see how bad it could be if they kept just playing for themselves and not playing hard every minute. While the RPI and resume boost would be nice, maybe the lessons learned in those to games will pay dividends down the road. Hopefully in the next 5 regular season games and the SECt too.

Possibly, however, I think they are 1. finally learning CCM's system and 2. the addition of J. Stokes makes them a completely different team

CCM said a few weeks back that we had to do it their way to show them it wasn't gonna work. Once it didn't work now were gonna do it my way.

I think that say a lot. It held a lot of weight to say we did things your way and w sucked, now try it my way, and look at whatvthe results are.

What percentage of yours are just worthless junk taking up bandwidth that only a 3rd grader would find enjoyable? I'm guessing 100%. You really want to play this game with me girl? I promise you won't win. Keep on though. I will enjoy this.

Since you seem to enjoy taking shots at people, i thought i would point it out Now you resort to some misogynistic name calling by trying to demean me by calling me girl? As for it being a game, not really a game, you are a one of those people that are brave behind a keyboard, calling me names twice in one post.
