Kentucky fans are probably skewing the polls. We will catch up once our fans start voting.

Who cares, less than 13,000 people have voted. If you consider how many Fans we have thats not even gonna crack 1% but for a place like kentucky thats a good chunk of ther FOOTBALL fanbase

Only if our fans think we made the best hire. From the choices, I think Arkansas probably did the best at getting a solid coach to a less than stellar school.

So whoever wins that poll gets an automatic 8-0 in the conference next year and doesn't have to play the games, right?

You clearly missed the point of the poll. The poll is just to gauge the national opinion on the hires in the SEC based on information available now, not to predict the future success of each coach.

I fully understand the point of the poll. You clearly missed my sarcasm. Public opinion is just that, opinion. It has absolutely nothing to do with the future success of any of the programs.

If anything, being slighted might give our guys a little chip on their shoulder. The new guy seems like the kind that could take advantage of something like that.

The only coach on that list who has a better record than Butch Jones is Brett Bielema. The merit of this hire will be proven on the Gridiron not in a fan poll.

No I got the sarcasm. The only thing I was trying to illistrate with the poll is that based off popular opinion we did not make the best hire, according to the poll.

I never said it was an indicator to what would happen on the field or the future of the program. In fact if you notice in my orginal post I even stated that "Jones still has a chance to prove himself"

The reason Kentucky is ahead is probably because people voting haven't realized the Stoops UK hired isn't the one they've heard of. Kinda like the people that can't tell the Baldwins apart.
