It does get old when you watch every game. Trying my best to just accepting that I'll hear about each and every game. Kind of like the wife telling me it's trash day every Tuesday. I know it's Tuesday, but she feels the need to tell me every Tuesday.

It is just ridiculous. when jim calhoun had all those violations he didnt get a fraction of the media attention that pearl has gotten. the media has overkilled the situation

I hate Mark-In the House-Jones. He always tries to "street-up" the commentary. Last night he talked about takin' the rock to the front of the cup. :bad:

I loved the comment about Tennessee plays too many players in there rotations. and then says "Kentucky only plays 6 to 6 1/2 in there rotations"

It was part of the sanctions that every commentator must mention "Rocky Times on Rocky Top" at least once in each game this season and twice during Pearl's suspension.

If a UT game is on EPSN I mute the TV and tune the radio to the Vol broadcast. I don't like the bias comments from the peanut gallery.

Jim Calhoun also didn't demand the attention Pearl did. Pearl was a media darling for a long time, and he relished in it, as did we. Now that it is bad, it's going to be that much worse.

So you don't like a "nuetral" announcer's bias, but you like your home call on the radio which is obviously not biased at all? ...crickets... "MONEY!"

Just giving you crap. I listen to the tv when I watch if I am not at the TBA and deal. Its really not that big of a deal, I am a big boy and I can handle hearing about stuff I already know and don't like. It doesn't make any difference to me.

Go Vols!!!

I suggest using the Mute button and providing your own commentary!

ESPN announcers were appalling last night. I was switching back and forth to the Vols game and it was just one loooooooong monotonous monologue about the Perils of Pearl. Seriously, how about the 10 kids on the court busting their humps ESPN? What a mockery of broadcasting.

Look at it from their standpoint. Yes, we UT fans know everything that has happened, know every little fact, and are tired of hearing the same thing.

But, they also have to inform the other fan base. I'm sure fans of other teams are interested in knowing what's going and it's ESPN's job to tell them.

And I'd bet there's college basketball fans that tune into UT games just to see what happened to "their coach".

It's over kill to us because we hear it every game, but if a Memphis or 'Nova fan never watch a UT game again, they only hear it once.
