I just looked at the bio's on Lee and Kirk and they just aren't that impressive.

They both are very much a part of college football. Kirk played for Ohio State and Lee was a head coach. They've also been a part of the most succesful Pregame show in the history of sports.

Corso is a moron. he comes up w/ the same types of analysis that anyone who looks at a newspaper can come up w/. he's a college fball version of Madden and is the epitome of a bandwagon jumper. he'll talk a team up like there's no tomorrow and then dump then 2-3 weeks later. yeah he has coaching experience but didn't he suck pretty bad at the schools he was in charge of? i like Herbstreit much more but maybe b/c he knows the Big 10(11) better since he played in it.

At Indiana, Lee Corso was 41-68-2 with only 2 winning seasons out of 10. While not successful he does offer some good insight into play-calling and how the players will react. I always enjoyed Herbstreit more because his analysis always comes from a players point of view. Plus, Kirk really likes UT.

I would much rather listen to Corso give his honest opinion of the situation than to to hear Lou Holtz bumble his way through a commentary.

Any way we could start a donation fund to buy out Holtz' contract? I think he is the only football figure I hate listening to more than John "I spend every monday night pointing out the blatantly obvious" Madden.

to me kirk is a damn college football genuis.

u cant go by who they pick. no one knows how these games will play out. but he knows everything about every team.

I'm sure he has a stable of folks that research all this stuff up and he's briefed on it.

maybe so, but he is still good dan.

gotta admit that. he does interviews and radio and can fire off all the players and coaches, and little things from games, from about every team in d-1. he is prett swift.

I think Tubby has his finger on the problem when it comes to ESPeeN. They wield way too much power in college football and have for some time.

Don't forget how they blatantly played up Woodson for the Heisman and took it away from one of the all-time best to ever play the game (Peyton).

I do not watch ESPeeN nearly as much as I used to because I am able to formulate opinions for myself and don't need to be told how to think by ex-coaches who have somehow wondered into some pretty major money-making jobs.

Entertaining, yeah I guess so. Informative. Nah!

yeah I agree Herbstriet is pretty sharp, he seems to seriously anaylize where most commentators blah about whats popular or hyped.

Surreal your right on about ESPN.

I too can form my opinion, but I also like hearing other people's opinion or perspective, whether I agree with it or not.
