How sad that ESPN starts Bowl propaganda BS only one week into the season. That is like Christmas crap hitting stores before Halloween is over. Sacrilegious I tell, ya, sacrilegious!

Ahh, the tradition and majesty of all those bowls. I remember growing up in early 70s cheering the different teams in the Taxslayer and the Advo care V100 Texas bowls. Why did everyone want a playoff system and destroy all of that?

I would honestly be happy with the Tidy Bowl at this point as it shows progress. 2016 we can curb stomp our way into the play off

What part of this playoff system has remotely affected the bowl game tradition?

I think you missed that he was implying those bowls are a joke. In the old days there were only bowls for like top 5 or so teams in a conference or teams about 8-4 or better. These days 6-6 teams and 10-12 teams that can make a bowl from a big conference sure does water down the excitement of just making one.

And if it's sarcasm, it's an equally stupid comment. There were only 12-15 bowls during the 70s. Getting to a bowl game was a prestigious achievement, and a great post-season alternate to the common theme of play-offs.

I love the lower-tier bowl games. It's more football to watch and it's fun to watch mediocre programs from the big conferences take on overachieving mid-majors.

My suggestion for you, so you never have to ask that question again, is to use Chrome as your browser. Simply right-click over the image and select "search google for this image".

Until you make the switch...

Google Iga Wyrwal.

You're welcome.
