Since the Sugar Bowl is this evening, I thought I'd read ESPN's preview of the game. Completely unrelated to Tennessee, or so I thought. The very first sentence not so subtly slams our Vols.

"Louisville is a clear underdog in the Sugar Bowl, but the Cardinals can already claim one major victory over an SEC team this postseason."

Louisville Cardinals vs. Florida Gators - Preview - January 02, 2013 - ESPN

Wow, didn't see that coming. I mean, I could see Strong turning down Tennessee being mentioned in the article, but the opening sentence? On the other hand, there's the old saying that there's no such thing as bad press.

Are you surprised? Thoughts?

Hopefully just more motivation for CBJ to show everyone that at the end of the day he was the best choice.

Who cares what ESPN does or says? The second that UT gets good again and gets looked at nationally again, ESPN will be in K-town with its stupid GameDay crew (idiots that can't coach or play QB anymore) and all of a sudden they will be Vol fans. They are a bunch of prostitutes.

They did the same thing to Michigan duuring the RichRod years; but now that Michigan is returning to the national scene again, Michigan is all of a sudden a popular team again.

Will the timeline of the pending case involving a former UL player and Strong be discussed ad nauseum tonight?

You mean like this past Sept?

It isn't hate. It is truth. Louisville keeping their coach over UT is a big deal.

Even ESPN can see that.

seriously? are you just looking for stuff to whine and complain about?

it says the coach stayed there instead of taking the job at UT, not sure how reporting news facts means someone hates you.

I agree that is a big deal. I also am very thankful Charlie turned us down and UT will be the better for it.

After tonight all the strong fans, might rethink about coach Jones, think we won in the long run.

What's the latest with the allegation of him covering up fellow teammates beating up a player?

But that doesn't mean that they DON'T hate us. :ermm:

They should rename it the Allstate "Coaches Who Were Offered by Tennessee, Asked to Sleep On It, and Turned Down the Offer the Following Day" Bowl.

As bad as the program is right now, nobody outside the state gives a rats ass about Tennessee....who cares what ESPN says? Why do all of you get so pissy when somebody says something about the Vols that isn't great? Have you seen UT play the last few years? We've sucked out loud...Why should ESPN say anything good about us? There is nothing good to say...stop being a whinner.

Yea, it's stupid for a sports network to feature stories about the successful teams.
