Just now on Outside The Line, a USC beat writer says that with CPC definately out at USC and no new coach even close to being hired, both Baxter and Prater are no longer solids, they're quote "wide open in their recruiting". This may or may not be good news forhe Vols but thought I would throw it out there.

They havent decommitted but definately soft verbal instead of solid now. If either decommitts it wont be until they know where they are going.

We've got a shot at him. With CEO and CLK, anything is possible. But ND and Illinois have a good shot at him too. I'm more worried about ND. Prater would thrive in Brian Kelly's offense ,and Kelly is the kind of guy that can really sway recruits. IMO, we'll have to beat out ND to get Prater ,but that's just my guess.

I am not sold on the ND thing. I think if you look back at his visit to ND it was the same time as Corey Cooper who was thinking about ND. Him and Cooper are pretty good freinds from everything I have read. I actually think the only reason he may be a little serious about Ill. is because of Cooper. But none of those things kept him from commiting to USC. Because he thought USC gave him the best chance to make it to the NFL.

Now.... With all the turmoil going on at USC. No coach, no coaching staff, He wants to be a EE, how could he stick with them? I just don't see it happening.

Ok now think about his comments after the AA game to JB. It is down to Ill. and UT. We know Kiffin, Coach O, and Monte where all in San Antone talking to as many as four different families. Him and Ambles have become freinds. Then you throw in IMO the most important thing of all..... Kippy Brown. The kid wants to play in the NFL remember. Who better to learn from. Kiffin's offense is almost the same thing as he already commited to at USC. I mean to me this one is over. Yea, I know what his father said to Hubbs.

But IMO. It's over already. He will visit in time to be an EE and he is going to be a Vol.....

We shall see...

I hope you are right, Prater and Ambles would be a killer combination.

If you where the kids father and word got out you where decommiting from USC. Do you think your phone would be ringing off the hook? I mean do you think every top program in the country isn't calling? I mean is he supposed to explain it to everyone that calls?

What is the easiest thing to say? I will tell you.... We are still commited and we haven't scheduled anything yet. We are still working it out as a family.

Guys, If you follow recruiting and I assume most do that are on this board. This one looks good. Real good for us..........

Prater is rumored to be visiting on the 22nd of January. But he might decides sooner considering he wanted to be an EE. We'll see how it turns out.

Hubbs said it in a post. I read it. But you can believe it or not. That is up to you. I choose not to. I think they have a pretty good ideal what they are going to do. They just don't want everyone else to know.

Has anyone ever thought that St. Pete might have clued the "Boy Wonder" in on his intentions ? There is a reason the whole staff was in Texas BEFORE the news broke, and it wasn't solely to get to Dixon's family..... I have thought for a while that Pete has helped Lane here and there over the last year. JMHO

Or, Maybe that NSD is a month away and the top recruits in the nation all happened to be in the same area at the same time. Or a coincidence?
