That was a great article. I' m glad to see everyone backing this young man. He and the rest of the team were giving their all for Tn. This last saturday. I think this team is growing up right before our eyes. And, i'm glad to see players step up as leaders. Leaders are the one thing we have truly needed the last 3 yrs.

Now, go roast some chickens! GO VOLS !!!!!!

The local radio shows down here in alabalambaland have been talking UT.

Pretty much the unanimous opinion as of the post-UGA week is:

* UT is on the right track with Jones.

* The SEC and College Football are better when UT is strong.

* They want the Bama/UT game to hold value and rise back up to the biggest rivalry game in college football.

And I gotta say I agree with them. They have also talked about Pig's play (not just that play but the entire game) and really commended him as he was a Sophomore but was thrust into being the salty vet on our WR corps and put everything out on the line to win.

None of them faulted him at all. Even though it was the game... he had to put it all out there because UT has really struggled inside the 5 yard line.

These same guys were also never like this with Dooley. Ever. Even after the LSU game in 2010. Kiffin, of course, got them talking but they didn't speak highly of Kiffin either due to his antics but did respect the product he put on the field.

I couldn't be more proud of our fans for how the situation was handled. We're a family, and we always have each others backs.

I love the part in the article where he said, "I wasn't settling for no field goal." Just shows the guy has that killer instinct.

Even the comments from rival fans on the article were very supportive of Pig, save for 1 dbag UF fan.

I didn't get to watch the game because I was stuck at a wedding. I was stuck with espns gamecast and when it happened all it said was fumble, no names, just FUMBLE and showed that UGA had possession. When i saw that all I could imagine was Worley bumbling a snap or handoff or some other stupid fumble.
Once I got home and was able to see what actually happened I was actually proud of him, Pig, instead of being upset. After being stuck watching Hunter playing not to get hurt again all last year it was nice to see a player willing to take a risk and put himself out there.

Does Tennessee have to pay ESPN when they win or get mentioned in their articles?

They see who the new cash cow is going to be in the very near future. You will see more of them trying to get on our good side. It can only help with recruiting and such at this point though. Lord knows they give us enough bad press. CFD pisses me off royally. Give all the credit to anybody BUT tennessee. They won't even mention us unless forced still.

You do know that ESPN hates us, right? But even they can only deny what is coming for so long, there's a storm coming ESPN, and it is ORANGE! And Butch is leading it!

Because that light that is starting to shine. That light that is in the near distance. That's the light at the end of the tunnel. We aren't there yet but the light keeps getting brighter.

Was there Saturday and loved how in the midst of everyone trying to get out of stadium, everyone stopped and applauded the team when they left the field - if ever a group of kids deserved a round of applause. Someone even started the "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol" on the walkway out........may have lost this battle, but the war(s) is just beginning. VFL

It was refreshing to see the fans stay and clap for the team after the game concluded.
