Women's college basketball Power Rankings: Is Maryland good enough to win the NCAA title?

i
Player of the Week: Jordan Horston, Tennessee Lady Vols
The Lady Vols beat two ranked teams, No. 23 South Florida and No. 12 Texas, behind a combined 52 points, 24 rebounds and 7 assists from the junior guard. She is leading Tennessee in all three categories this season at 22.0 PPG, 11.7 RPG and 3.3 APG.

Team of the Week: Tennessee Lady Vols
Look who is 4-0 despite the indefinite loss of their projected top player, Rae Burrell, to a knee injury in the opener. The Lady Vols have scored more than 60 points just once so far: in Sunday's 74-70 overtime win over No. 12 Texas. But they showed great grit in that game, and the bottom line is that it doesn't have to be pretty if you find a way to win -- which Tennessee is doing without Burrell.

10. Tennessee Lady Vols (4-0)
Previous ranking:
NR
This week: South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas against Kansas (Friday) and Oklahoma State (Saturday)

Jordan Horston isn't the only Lady Vol making noise. Junior center Tamari Key had a triple-double in Sunday's win over Texas with 10 points, 18 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. She has been a defensive force for Tennessee, averaging 4.8 blocks.

Can they give us a hint of when Rae is coming back I love the gritty wins but I want Rae back😩 but Keep going Jordan she was due for a breakout season and living up to her # 2 ranking love that for her
Haven't watched the game yet, but Jordan shot very well. Hopefully when Rae comes back, that doesn't stop Jordan from continuing to hunt for her shot.

It has been a long, loooong time since Tennessee has gotten that level of validation.

It's apparently a holiday-season miracle, too, since Kellie can't coach at all and all the players are terrible and would fit better at the lower mid-major level.

She looks relaxed and isn’t limping when walking. I think she’ll be back after the Christmas break. No reason to rush her as long as we are winning. A true blessing!

A lot changed in a few minutes. Had to do some work and suddenly it’s a 4 point game. Hopefully they can close the deal here. Would be nice to see them get a good win and will help us in the Net and keep them ranked. 🤞🏼

My guess is the VA Tech game for Rae's return. If it is the injury I am thinking it is (based upon the happening, reactions, the way she carried her leg and how she moved this past game, other) ,,,I would as a coach tell her to take the Turkey day and first game back after that (bc we shouldn't need her for Tn Tech),,,VA Tech just makes sense

Good week to be a Vol. Football won and became bowl eligible. Men beat NC. And the women beat Texas.

Rugby and soccer also doing very well, although I don't follow those sports.

UT Rugby was ranked #1 in the country for D1AA as of last week!!!! As an alumni and now an avid rugby player (10yrs), this makes me thrilled to see!

Speaking of ESPN love... Fox business had a guy on today that said Disney is looking to get into sports betting, because Netflix is kickin' their rears right now. Guess who owns ESPN. We would absolutely never get any love from ESPN if that happens. They hate us, so we'd always be the longshot.
