Interesting that they say Gus is interviewing for the Vandy job. Why would he bother to go to the interview, and why on earth would he ever want to be the HC at Vandy?

For $..

If Auburn had any clue they give him whatever he wants..

so they won 8 games with gus as their oc last year and without cam. but they bring in cam and he improves them 5 wins, but without their oc they would have only won 7 or 8? i don't understand that

Without Gus, Auburn is a 7 or 8 win team...

Surely you're kidding? If I have my choice between Gus and the Camburglar, I'm going to battle with Cam EVERY time. It's a shame he's going to be one and done. I think that with a few more years, he would have CRUSHED every single one of Teblow's records. I hate Auburn, and I hate to see them win, but I also try to call it like I see it.

That ESPN article sounds like it was trying to put a positive spin on everybody.

without cam, they're worse than that

Without Cam Newton they are an 8-4 or 9-3 team at best this year, IMO. Without Gus, they will completely fall apart. Chizik and his 5-19 record at Iowa St. will more than likely rear it's ugly head at Auburn when Gus is gone.

so you're sayin gus can win 9 games with their back-up, but cam, the run away heisman winner this year IMO, would only win 3 or 4 games without gus? no way

Tennessee Volunteers
What's happened: If anyone questioned coach Derek Dooley's ability to recruit, they were answered with the commitment of wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett (Saginaw, Mich./Saginaw) from right under the noses of Michigan and Michigan State. The focus has been on linemen and eight of Tennessee's 19 verbals are on the offensive and defensive line.

What's next: The Vols will also need more talent on offense to go along with Arnett and running back Tom Smith (Apopka, Fla./Apopka), and one of the names they are looking at is ESPNU 150 running back Kevin Grooms (Hollywood, Fla./South Broward). He can play on either side of the ball but he has done most of his damage in high school at the running back position. Rome has recently added Tennessee into the mix along with Georgia and Clemson. On the defensive side of the ball Tennessee is also one of the schools that Pagan is going to be looking at and the Vols recently took in an official visit from three-star linebacker Gionni Paul (Lakeland, Fla./Kathleen), who appears to have shot Tennessee to the top of a list that includes Auburn, LSU, Texas Tech, Michigan and Florida. Cornerback Ronnie Harris (Atlanta, Ga./Westlake) is another name Tennessee is working hard for and its primary competition appears to be Stanford.

LOL. Espn recruiting info is so bad. We are not working hard for Ronnie Harris. He is a fallback option.
