The SEC can no longer claim to be the best conference in college football - ESPN

Clearly an article intended as click-bait. It takes a huge stretch to claim the SEC still isn't the best conference in the country. Maybe only if you compare our worst team to everyone else's. But aside from Vandy, our next worst team, Kentucky, is still better than a handful of teams in each of the other major conferences.

In Nov, everyone's schedule is tough and somebody has to lose. It doesn't make the loser a lesser team though, only in the rankings.

Definately click bait. ESPN is extremely pro-SEC(Biased) or they wouldn't have started the SEC Network.

Retarded. The SEC West has been unreal this year.

However, the SEC East is absolutely no longer exceptional. UK, USC, UF, and UGA all lost to ACC teams this past weekend.

Yes, but only one of those was unexpected. 2 of them (UK and UF) almost won on the road against the better ACC team.

I'm not denying the SEC East is a mess, but those are the 4 best ACC teams.

Within the SEC, the East is Bush league. Granted those ACC teams are by far the 4 best in that conference.

I don't dispute such. I'm not implying that the ACC is better than the SEC.

The question is about a conference being "exceptional". In years past, the SEC was much stronger top to bottom than this year which is what I think of when I think of a conference being "exceptional".
