Espn tournament challenge (women)

Anyone taking a stab at it? This one is going to be tough to figure out and there could be quite a few upsets along the way..I think Princeton, Ohio state, FGCU, Witchita st could be potential Cinderella teams.

If UTC does manage to beat Pitt, that could be one of Tennessee's toughest second round games they've had in awhile. The second round Miami game a few years back comes to mind as another tough second round game we played.

All in all, I'm going to be going crazy trying to pick my bracket. Would love to see us take on and beat an undefeated Princeton team in the elite 8 for a spot in the ff4, but a revenge beating of Maryland would be nice too!!

We aren't the best at defending the three point shot, so if OSU is hot from there and Tennessee gets cold, then ya that might be our biggest roadblock at a final four bid.

I can't see Baylor beating ND. I can see FSU beating SC, however. I think SC is almost as vulnerable as Maryland as a #1 seed but fortunately for SC they don't have a tough bracket.

I also don't think Miss State gets by Duke. I would love to see it, however.

I think the UK LadyCats make it to the Elite 8 and get stomped by UConn. I think the LadyVols beat Miss State in the Elite 8

It is tough for the Lady Vols to make the FF with 4 players, including their leading scorer and rebounder, sitting on the bench and unable to play.

There was a Volnation.Com March Madness bracket on ESPN last year and it carries over to this year, too.

I've got Lady Vols over Miss State
I've got UCONN over UK
I've got Notre Dame over Baylor
I've got South Carolina over Florida State

I could be wrong, but I think Duke and Maryland are vulnerable. Although Duke is in a competitive conference, they played VERY inconsistent and have a LOT of losses. Maryland in the Big10 does not have near the competition that teams in the SEC and ACC have, so I really think Mississippi State has a good opportunity because they've been mostly consistent all year and faced really good competition.

I don't see any way Baylor beats Notre Dame.

When it comes to OSU I think Tennessee can win that one based upon experience. They will need to play an aggressive man to man defense. If Tennessee plays zone they may get shot out of the gym. I did notice in the OSU game that Maryland was able to drive. AMass, Carter and Reynolds are good at that. I don't think it will get down to matching threes, we also have to take into consideration that one we have to win to play OSU, if so, OSU is both young and talented. They are also a team that does not throw in the towel or wave the white flag.
