ESPNs mock WNBA draft doesnt even mention Shanna Zolman.

Hate it for her and I really liked her as a player, but she has too many liabilities. She is slow. She isn't a good ball handler. She isn't a good passer. She has, at best, adequate defense. She is a very streaky shooter. Even in women's basketball, straight up 3 point shooters usually don't do a whole lot in the pros.

I always compared her to JJ Redick from what I saw of her... excellent shooter, but not much more. Couldn't imagine Redick having to run the point like she had to though.

I just couldn't believe Tye'sha Fluker would be taken before Shanna. :dunno:

I guess in the women's game shooters are a dime a dozen, but size is at a premium.

Maybe she'll go in the second or third round. :cross:

Has there ever been a woman leave school early for the WNBA? I wonder where Candace would be drafted if she went?

That's unbelievable to think it hasn't happened when you look at men's basketball.

Almost makes you think there's a rule against it or something.

There's really no demand for a women's player to leave early. I don't follow women's ( or men's) pro basketball. I just lose interest after they leave UT.

Whattaya mean no demand?

I say that because most of the male players that do it openly claim to be doing it for the money so they can feed their poor family... surely there's a surpemely talented lady or two in the same situation?

I don't think there are impoverished families pinning their hopes and dreams on WNBA careers. Except for the elite players, the money's not there like it is for the men.

That's true. Not only the substantially less money, but the fact the WNBA is probably gonna go under... then what?

I don't think David Stern will let that happen. If they've subsidized it this long . . .
