I am one of the people who thinks ESPN has been giving our basketball team more than their fair share of props, but that suprises me about Dickey V. I know that there have been some hard feelings there with some things that happened in the past. It's nice to see that Vitale is hopefully putting all that behind him.

Even as a Gator fan, when he was at Florida, he made me wince more than a couple of times.

I guess that I can see why some people would say that Pearl's cocky. I just don't think that's his true intention. Spurrier works hard at being the way he is.

I post on Tiger Rant (LSU) and some of them don't care for Pearl...a lot of them don't care for UT in general...esp. Fulmer...you'd think we played them all the time like Bama or Florida with the way some of them carry on...

I never said I didn't like the guy. He is obviously a tremendous coach. Just someone on here posted that there was not a negative word to be found about him and I don't think that is entirely true, that's all. As I said earlier, he has backed up his boasts so far. Maybe that is the difference between cocky and confident?
