ETSU Football Coming To Bristol Too

If BMS is going to spend the money to layout the field and build the stands on the track, they might as well use it more than once.

Half? It will be lucky to 5,000 total. Weird move.

Yeah! Half filled is an over-statement. The mini dome only held what 10,000? Might be lucky to even get 10,000 in there at Bristol for this one.

Yeah, I guess so but I find it a little silly. If it was 2 bigger schools or even if ETSU was playing say a UT type program then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Yeah, this is kind of a head scratcher. I understand the rationale of ETSU being in the proverbial backyard of BMS, but it's not exactly going to be a hyped up event.

If Smith was smart, he's look at doing it as a yearly or every two year event and draw in some big name P5 schools. I mean, imagine a Michigan-Notre Dame game at BMS. Or Texas-Alabama. (much as I hate the thought of Bammers invading beautiful East Tennessee)

Get a couple of teams with known traveling fan bases and put on a show.

This is a terrible idea. I love the Bucs don't get me wrong, but they'd have to give away free food and beer to fill BMS up for that.

Why not? The field is already in place.

Everyone knows it won't sell out, but maybe a few more people will show up.

Woww, this later post has 30 more views than the first post from yesterday. I guess it's best to post 2nd than 1st.

I'd say you're right in that 12,000 would be a challenge to get in there for this game. The mini dome sold out at 10,000. We also might be surprised too & see 20,000+.

I just don't see it though since the opponent is WCU. Maybe if it was a D1 school from a power 5 but it's not happening for this game.

Most of WCU's fans are excited and I bet they bring 4-6 k. Home games for them bring 8-10k. I don't know what ETSU will bring.

Seems silly to me.
