It's the 1st year of this and when LSU backed out about 5 other teams did as well. Hopefully this will get better in the future

I'm sure if the CIT and CBI have managed to survive, so will it. It will likely depend on if it can get good TV contract. I think the semi-finals and finals were on the CBSSN.

It does have the uniqueness that it's set up like a conference tournament moreso than the other post season tournaments.
