This coaching search should go much better for us. First of all we could not possibly do any worse than Dooley so we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Secondly we will hopefully have much more favorable timing this go round. And finally we actually have se really good depth for a new coach to work with

There is no bright side!!! Our depth doesn't matter because our first team defense is not SEC caliber. We are still years away from being a player in this conference and If today didn't reinforce that there is something wrong

I honestly think that he is trying to get fired. So he can take his money and leave the state before he gets his #$% kicked or his car flipped.

Seriously, what a joke.

You may be right but a good coach could have pulled off a couple of those close games this year. The biggest problem is coaching not talent IMO.

I was surprised at the size of the crowd today. Given what has been going on with the level of play I was thinking about the 60 thousand line... had to be quite a few more than that. Course, Mizzou brought a pretty good crowd, so that helped. I bet they were happy when they left. We do that for a lot of teams and fans any more.

When CFB lasts only 3 out of a 12 month year, there is no good news for fans at this point. We wait through a long winter, spring and then a longer summer for this brief 3 month period. it has been stolen from VOL fans for another year. As you get older, these seasons take longer to get here and go by that much faster.

IMO, when you only have 7 days out of 365 to visit Neyland each year you should go. If I lived within 2 hours of K - town I would rarely miss a game. I go to 3 a year now that I am 7 hours away and I look forward to them. I am coming for UK no matter how bad we are, Neyland and the campus will be the same experience wise. GBO

I just hope people realize that there will be so much competition from other opening gigs that we might be an afterthought. Texas, USC, & Arkansas will be filled first in that order as far as from the available good coaches. Somehow I hope we land Gruden.

Are u saying Arkansas is a better opening than us? I'd have to disagree. And it's not certain that Texas or USC will fire their coaches

 I would take the coaching job, but I don't know the diffrence in cover 1 and cover 2...much less 3-4 or a 4-3....wait....I would be just as good as the coaches we have now, and I admit I can't do it, so therefore maybe I can learn and get the job done. Ill take 5 years at 1.2 Mil a year and you all can call me all the names you want. :)

I think it may be easier to recruit a coach for Arkansas or Auburn and maybe even Kentucky than it will be for us to get a really good, proven coach.

Our players dorm totally sucks and we need a new players dorm ASAP.

Our stadium is bigger so it takes alot more ticket sales to fill the stadium.

Our AD is basically broke so we don't have the money for a homerun hire as a coach or for a new players dorm.

Our fanbase always OVERexpects so it's very doubtful that any coach will get 4 or 5 years to recruit his type of players for his O and D systems and our fanbase has proven they'll get really nasty as hell calling all our coaches immature nasty names, ect and we'll even paint the rock for the entire world to see so WHY would any really smart coach want to bring his family to K town and risk going through all of that and risk destroying his future coaching career?

It's also very hard to recruit top prospects to come to Tennessee so it will take even longer to rebuild back up to being an elite SEC team again.

There's really nothing good at all about the horrid situation our football program is in right now unfortunately.

If we don't get a rock solid HOMERUN hire this time then our program could be setback for many years to come.

Alot of what could hapen will depend on how much $$$$ our big boosters are willing to donare and in this economy and with barak oDUMBa getting re-elected it's doubtful that our big $$$ boosters will be willing to donate much since then know there's no bright future for our economy and when they know for a fact that their business and personal taxes are going up so they'll have even less $$$ coming in for several more years.

Tax deductions are also going to vanish and that will also LOSE our big $$$ boosters lots of money every year.

Big $$$ people donate much less when the economy is bad and when they know things are going to get worse and that's a very sad situation for AD Hart to have to try and deal with.

I always try to be a positive minded optomist but nowdays with everything going on and knowing what's coming it's very difficult to find the rare rays of sunshipe and things to be really hopeful about.

VFL...GBO!!!
