But the administration is not making the call and it can be argued it is exactly her concern for her play on the court that has her speaking "out of turn". She has zero help with her on court play from the staff my hard earned tax dollars pay to help develop her. Unreasonable to expect even the highest rated recruits to do it alone.so, this turned into a grammar lesson......no, she should keep her mouth shut and let the administration make the calls...she is speaking out of turn and also has enough to worry about concerning her play on the court...honestly...
GO LADY VOLS!
I think she was pleading for help. But the administration is not making the call and it can be argued it is exactly her concern for her play on the court that has her speaking "out of turn". IMO the Evina controversy is about a hostage video in which the victim is being blamed for criticizing the kidnappers!
Great point! The lack of a defense of her coach, when obviously being poked to comment on the coach's butt being on fire, would have said it all. So instead she mumbled a bit of playerspeak mixed with something else barely audible. Much ado about nothing much? Rome is burning and ya'll are fiddle-faddling. And Rebecca Lobo, who I usually actually like in spite of her questionable past, should shut up.I think her answer could have the same effect had she just smiled and said no comment....

Context is our friend. Just before that she had mumble-mentioned changing stuff with the players on and off court. Not at all the absolute presented here. Ton of gray area between some stuff needs fixing and she's not behind her coach. Every reason to think as a functional human being she's NOT behind her obviously incapable coach, but that's not the obvious conclusion from what she said! Was simply being all-inclusive in her disappointment and the pledge to work on list after an awful season. Would have included the managers if she could have.“We’ve got to fix some stuff,” Westbrook said in the locker room. She paused for a moment before adding, “With our staff.” Just like that, the Lady Vols’ inexplicable season came into focus. Their sophomore point guard — the team’s leader — was not behind her coach.
I wasn't aware of this, but apparently Evina was asked in 2 separate interviews. The snippet I quoted above was from the first interview, not the second one that most of us saw on Twitter. Either way, I'm on Team Evina on this one.Context is our friend. Just before that she had mumble-mentioned changing stuff with the players on and off court. Not at all the absolute presented here. Which ironically was not what was going on right down the hall with her coach. Inclusivity of blame is not exactly a Holly Warlick strong point.
