We go out there with nothing to lose and everything to gain! With our improved speed on Defense and our playmakers on Offense we have a punchers chance! Go Vols!

Our OL is going to get blown up repeatedly. I'll be happy if we keep it within 2 TD.

I'm just glad this game will be a true statement as to where this program stands so there won't be these ridiculous arguments about whether a team from the sun belt is worth a damn or not

(1) Young guys will grow up quickly.

(2) Stoops will try to run up the score, just so he can say that he beat an S.E.C. team by a large margin.

Harsh reality about our youth and lack of depth will start to set in starting next week, but I'm excited about the future. I can see improvement in every area of this program. Butch gets it and the future is bright.

This is the most complete team We have fielded since 2008 but anything can happen. In 2009, both Sam Bradford & Jermaine Gresham returned but Gresham never made it out of fall camp and Bradford went down in the opener with BYU. We are one bad hit away from a RSF QB who played his first game yesterday running the show.

I have said it in other threads on this forum but this game reminds me of the Florida State game in 2010. The Seminoles came to Norman in the early stages of Jimbo's rebuilding project. They were optimistic but realistic. The game was over by halftime. The 'Nole D simply couldn't handle the hurry-up.

We'll be able to "handle" the hurry-up, tempo won't be the thing that will beat us. It'll be our inability to handle OU's (or anybody else's for that matter) size and strength up front. Hope UT can stay competitive for 4 quarters and keep the game within 14-17 points.

Absolutely! Not going to the end of the world if we lose, but to say we have no chance like so many are saying is ridiculous. I just want to see us fight for 60 min instead of fold it like we did at times last year when things did not go well. I think improved speed and more talent/playmakers should increase our chances. O-line has to play better than so far, but if that happens I think we will be in game until the end.

The unexpected does happen r.e. Virgina Tech besting Nohio State yesterday. Of course it was a big Ten team.

...and Worley is not just a big pile of goo on the field by the end of the game.

This young OLine is making strides week to week, but they are not going to be ready for this coming Saturday. I'll pray for you Justin

Where is everyone setting up? Where is the best location? I'll be getting into Norman Friday early evening.

Go Vols

This^
Butch has it going in the right direction. You can see the potential of the young guys and foundation being built for 2015-2016.
The baby Vols will take some lumps this year, but the future looks bright.

We'll actually have some other fans cheering us on out here this coming weekend. I worked the OSU game yesterday and amid the "Go Pokes!" cheers, I'd occasionally get to let folks know about my love of the Vols. And you might be surprised at how many Cowboy fans told me they would be cheering for the Vols next weekend. Funniest quote of the day?

"I'm not sure you guys will win, but my wife and I will be praying for the Vols to kick the **** out of OU next weekend."

My cool story bro contribution for the week.

I could see some OSU fans doing just that.

"Dear Baby Jesus, please let the Cowboys win the Big 12 undisputed and without sharing it this year. And please make Bob Stoops break out in hives. Furthermore, sweet infant Jesus, please have our cousins in orange make the Sooners their ***** this coming weekend. Oh, and bless this food as well. Amen."

Our offensive line may improve some but we will have to scheme with ths weakness in mind all year I'm afraid. But I am very excited about the game. I feel like we have the playmakers to make this a game. I Just hope we can get them the ball enough to make it happen. I feel like we will be ready to play.

Go big orange!
