G: Bobby Maze/Melvin Goins
G: Scotty Hopson
G: JP Prince(if healthy)
G/F: Tyler Smith
C: Wayne Chism
I expect to see Kenny Hall, Brian Williams, and others rotated in as well

That's my best guess.

I think Prince/Woolridge will be more interchangeable than Maze/Goins because of Goins' inexperience with the team (lack of chemistry?)

Also JP and Renaldo both have shown that they are extremely inconsistent so that could be a factor as well

Woolridge was very consistent last year. Consistently awful.

1. bobby maze
2. scotty hopson
3. cameron tatum (was never really healthy last year showed some flashes though)
4. tyler smith
5. wayne chism
I have always thought jp played better off the bench. gives a big spark. if he's healthy he will be in in the last 5 minutes over tatum regardless of whos starting.

there was a lot of talk that tyler is going to be playing the 3 this year both from him and pearl. I think that may be somewhat contingent on e man tho. if he is healthy and cleared to play im going like this:

pg: bobby maze
sg: scotty hopson
sf: tyler smith
pf: e-man
c: waybe chism

back ups:
pg: melvin goins
sg: cam tatum
sf: jp prince
pf: kenny hall
c: brian williams

woolridge may slip in ahead of kenny hall and may see time at sf also.

if e man can't play move tyler to the 4 and put jp in at the 3.

It will be interesting to see what type of improvements Pearl can make this season.. this is the make or break year for him

no doubt. this is probably the most talented team and most experienced team that he has had.

Yes, that was going to be my point. I understand many on here don't like Prince, but I think it can be universally agreed that he was superior to Woolridge. So, if we are relying in any way on Renaldo, we are in trouble.

I never really supported Renaldo coming here to begin with, but now that he's here I think he has the potential to contribute. He wanted to be recruited like a regular person, not to follow in his father's footsteps. Orlando was the reason Renaldo was ranked so high. I can excuse a Freshman struggling in his first year, but he needs to show some dedication. Since it seems like he's releasing a new mixtape every day it makes it very hard to focus on basketball as your top, and only priority.

No way that Prince doesn't start. There is no comparison to Prince and Woolridge.

Not this argument again......

Two problems with that argument:

1) He is still practicing as much or more than the rest of the team. He is spending his free time (which every player has - regardless if they spend it in private or making music for the public) to make the music. It is something he loves to do and frankly, it keeps him away from any potential trouble.

2) No more songs until the end of this season.

Not the most experienced.

to the best of my memory this is the only ut team so far under him that everybody in the 10 man rotation returned. we have 5 seniors on the team and nobody that's expecetd to make a real big impact is new. they all know pearls system and I don't think we have had that before. feel free to correct me if u think otherwise though.

Doesn't change the fact that he isn't a good basketball player.

Maze (Goins)
Hopson (Prince)
Tatum (Woolridge)
Smith (Hall)
Chism (Williams)

If Bruce goes with a 9-man rotation, I think that would take Hall out of the equation. Smith, Chism, and Williams would all rotate in the middle.

Goins likely won't need long to overtake Maze's starting job once Goins is healthy. It'll be interesting to see what role McBee will play on this year's squad, if any. UT will definitely be in need of a consistent 3-point threat.

Statistically it may be, but the experience Lofton and Smith brought at the guard position two years ago was vital. Smith was in his first year in the system, but was good enough to be a good player, and we had some Sophomores that had played a big amount of minutes as Freshman and were broken in. Statistically, you're correct, but I'd take that teams experience and mental attitude over this one's any day.

You can't blame his skill level when he entered college on his rapping. My point is that his development in college hasn't regressed due to the rapping.

It hasn't progressed because he is rapping. He should understand what a disapointment he was last year and forget the beats and focus more on ball in his free time.

I'm not trying to slam the kid. I actually have listened to some of his music. Plenty of good ball players have rapped, but they were good enough that they didn't need to improve there game that much, Woolridge on the otherhand needs improvement.

no negedu and goins undergoing surgery, not a good day at all. I would say the lineup now probably looks like this...

maze
hopson
jp
tyler
wayne

if hall really emerges I could see

maze
hopson
tyler
hall
wayne
I know pearl rly was looking forward to playing tyler at the 3 but with negedu getting hurt it rly thins out the pf spot so tyler will probably be played there.

Who does everyone see as the break out star this year??

I have believed since this first time I saw Cameron Tatum play which was LMU in an exhibition before he took the red shirt his fresman year that he could be a great player. I hope cameron lives up to his potential and becomes a break out player for us.
